Life groups are small bands of Christ-followers who meet weekly, living life together and helping each other reach their neighbors. As demonstrated in Acts 2:42-47, life groups follow five practices when they meet together — food, fellowship, prayer, word, and mission.

5 PRACTICES OF A LIFE GROUP
FROM ACTS 2:42-47
FOOD
Friends who share life share food. Life groups gather around a table. This creates an amazing place where people share their stories, their highs, and their lows.
FELLOWSHIP
This is the “living life together” piece. The weekly gathering is a place where we each learn about the needs of others. We then love each other throughout the week as we practice the “one-anothers” of Scripture and use our talents and resources for the good of others.
PRAYER
God invites his disciples to talk to him. Life groups do that for each other during the meeting and throughout the week.
WORD
We love the Bible. It is the primary way the Holy Spirit teaches us truth. We dig deeper every week by reengaging with the sermon text from Sunday, asking questions, and striving to apply what we learn as disciples and missionaries.
MISSION
A key part of being a disciple is engaging neighbors and making more disciples. A life group supports attempts, and failed attempts, at being a missionary. The group itself can be physical help for your neighbors when a need arises.
